ABOUT US
On March 9, 1995, our seven founding mothers, Elizabeth Choi, Karen Eng, Rei Hirasawa, Hee Cho Moon, Chae Yoo Park, Samantha Somchanhmavong, and Connie Yang came together at Binghamton University with a vision of providing women with the chance to use their pride in heritage to become leaders of society. They recognized the need for an organization of this kind that would provide the community with inspiration and education. With that in mind, these seven extraordinary women brought Kappa Phi Lambda to life. Kappa Phi Lambda has become one of the fastest growing and strongest Asian American interest sororities in the nation.
